Café/ Store Manager

nXscale

Biñan, Laguna

nXscale provides flexible outsourcing solutions for startups and scale ups. We partner with global companies to help them build teams and scale operations.

We're looking for a hands-on Café/ Store Manager to lead the day to day operations of our client’s café. As part of a small, close knit team, you'll wear many hats supporting customers, coordinating the team, keeping operations running smoothly, and jumping in wherever needed. If you enjoy variety, taking initiative, and creating great customer experiences, you'll fit right in.

As our client grows, they are exploring exciting opportunities such as new locations, retail products, catering and more. This role offers the chance to take real ownership and help shape the future of the business. If you're someone who enjoys taking ownership, loves solving problems, thrives in a fast paced environment and wants to grow alongside a business, we'd love to meet you. This isn't just about following a playbook, it's about helping write the next chapter with us.

What you will do:

Daily Operations

  1. Oversee opening/closing procedures, staffing schedules, and day-to-day floor operations.
  2. Ensure consistent quality of food, drinks, and customer service.
  3. Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
  4. Handle point-of-sale operations, cash reconciliation, and basic bookkeeping support.
  5. Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health-code compliance.

People & Culture

  1. Hire, train and schedule baristas/staff as the team grows.
  2. Coach the team on service standards and handle day-to-day performance issues.
  3. Foster a positive, low-drama environment where a small team can do great work.

Customer Experience

  1. Be a visible presence on the floor, resolving customer concerns quickly and warmly.
  2. Gather and act on customer feedback to improve offerings and service.

Growth & Future Ventures

  1. Partner with ownership on ideas for expansion - new locations, product lines, catering, wholesale or events.
  2. Help build the systems (SOPs, training materials, vendor relationships) that will let the business scale smoothly.
  3. Bring a builder's mindset: comfortable wearing multiple hats today, with the chance to grow into a bigger operating role tomorrow.

Who you are:

  1. 1–3+ years  of experience in café, restaurant, or retail management (or strong supervisory experience in a similar setting).
  2. Comfortable with hands-on daily operations - this is not a purely administrative role.
  3. Strong organizational skills and comfort with basic inventory/cash management.
  4. Genuine interest in hospitality and building a great customer experience.
  5. Entrepreneurial mindset - excited by the idea of helping shape what this business becomes, not just maintaining it.
  6. Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
  7. Willing to assist with other operational and business needs as assigned.
