We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Accountant to play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of both the company and the broader group. As a member of our Finance Team, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Accountant, you will collaborate closely to safeguard company assets and uphold accounting controls.


What you will do:

  1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
  2. Verify the accuracy of all Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) entries
  3. Conduct weekly bank reconciliations
  4. Prepare Technical Accounting Papers
  5. Establish and recommend accounting policies and procedures to maintain controls
  6. Treasury
  7. Maintain daily updates on cash position reports
  8. Ensure adequacy of bank account balances and prompt payment of credit cards
  9. Develop spending forecasts for the organization
  10. Payroll
  11. Assist in bi-weekly payroll processing for timely and accurate salary payments
  12. Address employee inquiries related to payroll matters
  13. Collaborate with People Operations team to maintain payroll systems and ensure tax compliance
  14. Fixed Asset
  15. Record fixed asset purchases, depreciation, and write-offs accurately
  16. Manage the fixed asset register
  17. Collaborate with HR and Administration to tag company assets
  18. Conduct bi-annual inventory counts
  19. Month-End Closing Process
  20. Post journal entries for accrued expenses, revenue, and prepayments
  21. Ensure accurate recording of intercompany transactions
  22. Reconcile credit card transactions and follow up on documentation
  23. Prepare monthly account schedules and analyze accounts for Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux reports

Who you are:

  1. CPA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred
  2. Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy or related field
  3. 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
  4. Experience in private company environments with cross-functional team collaboration
  5. Highly organized with strong adherence to deadlines
  6. Proficiency in cloud accounting software
  7. Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards and Philippines Financial Reporting Standards
  8. Experience in payroll processing and compliance with government regulations
  9. Previous experience in fast-paced startup environments and multinational corporations
  10. Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus
