What Happens When I Change My Payroll Cut-Off Dates?
Changing your cut-off days, your first payroll month or your pay frequency rebuilds your payroll calendar, so Trellis asks you to confirm with a "Confirm Schedule Reset" message before it saves.
What changes
- Cut-offs that have not been run yet, and any draft payslips inside them, are removed and recreated with your new dates.
What stays exactly as it is
- Attendance records, shift schedules and leave.
- Each employee's salary setup.
- Any cut-off you have already generated or closed. Its dates and payslips do not move.
To change your cut-off dates
- From the sidebar, click "Payroll," then "Payroll Configuration."
- Under "Cut-off Window & Payout Day," type the start day, end day and payout day for each cut-off.
- Check that the two cut-offs meet without overlapping: the 2nd cut-off ends the day before the 1st one starts. For example, 21st to 5th and 6th to 20th.
- Click "Save Changes," then "Proceed."
Tip: the best time to change the dates is before you run the first payroll on them.
